Live wedding painting is entertainment for your guests and makes a statement that will have them talking all night. You and your guests get to enjoy the creative process as your painting develops right before your eyes. This is a heirloom painting, that you will get to hang in your home and be passed on for generations.

For that to happen you need something that will wow your guests and make them remember your day. The problem is so many weddings do the same thing, which makes you feel like there's no way to embellish your wedding that's not already done. That’s where I come in! Having a live wedding painter is a truly unique and one of a kind experience. Not only does it entertain your guests, but you get to have a masterpiece to always remember your wedding!  

I understand how important it is for your wedding day to be special. Thats why I work with you to make sure your live painting captures the spirit of your wedding. Weddings have such a special place in my heart and has been a corner stone of my business since 2011. Originally, known as a wedding photographer in Northeast Ohio, I have figured out a way to create art not only through a camera, but through painting as well.  

  1. Use my contact form to get in touch and I'll let you know if your date is available and answer any questions. I will email you all the info for to decide if you would like to book. After you sign the terms and agreement and submit your deposit, I will send you a questionnaire. About a month prior your event, we will go over the details of your event and vision for your painting.  We will finalize which moment you wish to capture, if you want your painting vertical or horizontal, any requests, and color palettes!

  2. On your wedding day, I will arrive 1-3 hours early to set up and begin painting the background. I provide everything I need to paint, so you do not have to concern yourself with extra tables. The only thing I need is a 10x10 space and access to electric. The average live painting time is 6-8 hours depending on canvas size.

  3. I will photograph the moment you have chosen for me to paint (perks of being a professional photographer) and continue to paint throughout the ceremony and reception. If your ceremony and reception are in two different locations I will start in the first location and pack up and relocate to the reception.

  4. I will interact with guests and offer the bride and groom to paint a little bit. This is a sentimental moment to share on your wedding day and forever part of the painting.

  5. At the end of the night, if the painting is finished, I will varnish it, wait for it to dry (while I tear up the dance floor), wire the back for easy hanging and then box it up for you to take home. If it is not finished at the event, I will paint the finishing touches in my studio and we will arrange for pick up/drop off or shipping.

 FAQs

  • Pricing is dependent on canvas size, travel distance, and special requests. Live wedding painting starts at $2500 for a 16x20 canvas. A 25% non refundable deposit is due upon booking to secure your date. The remaining balance is due 1 week before your wedding. I will provide you with a custom quote.

  • You can choose to have any moment during your ceremony or reception painted. I usually paint the vows, first kiss, ceremony exit, or first dance. However, I can paint any scene you want.

  • The painting will focus on the bride and groom. However, you may specify other family and friends that you would like to have in the painting. Additional cost may apply.

  • Yes! It's never too late to commission a wedding painting from photos! Talk about a perfect anniversary gift!

  • Yes! I LOVE to travel! I am local to Northeast Ohio. However, I can travel anywhere, as my setup is compact and portable. Travel fees will be added if the event is more than 2 hours driving distance. Pricing is customized based on your wedding location. The price includes all lodging and travel costs. Local Area: Northeast Ohio, such as Akron, Kent, Canton, Youngstown, Cleveland, Sandusky, Columbus, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

  • A 10’ x 10’ space is needed, as well as access to an electrical outlet to plug in my lighting for darker rooms. I also need shelter from the elements if outdoors. When choosing where to place my performance in the room, please keep in mind that I need a clear line of sight to the action, free from obstructions like DJ speakers or architectural elements like pillars, and that you will want your guests to be able to see me work as well. Stages, elevated areas, or at the foot of the dance floor are an excellent choice.

  • I use Golden professional grade acrylic paint. Acrylic paint is the perfect medium for event painting, as it is non-toxic, water based and fast drying, allowing for speedy delivery to you after your event.

  • My standard size is 16"x20". However, I can paint up to 30”x40” and everything in between. There are even circular canvases and panoramic. It really depends on the space you are going to hang it in. Remember, the larger the canvas, the easier it is to watch me paint! All canvases are highest quality gallery wrapped with 1.5” thickness.

  • Some paintings are able to be finished at the event! However, I may need to bring the painting home for touch ups and an application of varnish. We will coordinate drop off/pick up or shipping as needed. I try to finish paintings as soon as possible when I take them home to the studio.
